For more than ten years, KC Beer Fest has been the most recognizable craft brew festival in Kansas City and the Midwest. The annual fall festival features more than 200 hand-picked craft beers from around the world, rare keg tappings, live music, gourmet food vendors and trucks, lawn games and more in the heart of downtown Kansas City's Power & Light District.
KC Beer Fest was founded in 2008 by the Kansas City CARE Clinic (formerly Kansas City Free Health Clinic) and the AIDS Service Foundation of Greater Kansas City. To date, more than 20,000 beer connoisseurs and first-timers have attended KC Beer Fest over the years, sampling hundreds of craft brews from around the world. In 2013, Flying Saucer brought KC Beer Fest home to downtown Kansas City’s Power & Light District. The festival continues to grow and is considered one of the premier craft beer festivals in not only Kansas City but the Midwest.
